With the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) projecting a $3.5 million deficit in the upcoming school year, I recognize the uncertainty surrounding the duration of the provincial Supervisor’s mandate and when governance authority will be returned to elected trustees. I am prepared to assume the responsibilities of Trustee for Bay and Kitchissippi whenever that transition occurs, whether in the first year or the final year of the term. I am running for Trustee because I believe the students, parents, and school communities of Bay and Kitchissippi—and the OCDSB as a whole—deserve strong, accountable leadership focused on student success, fiscal responsibility, and meaningful community engagement.
